First Floor Wood

The wood flooring on the first floor (living room, kitchen, and dining room) is just about completely installed. It's been tough to get a good photo because the flooring gets covered by protective mats soon after each section is installed. Here is a view of the kitchen, looking north towards the street.

The flooring is the same French oak -- sourced from a managed forest in Normandy -- that was used on the second floor. On the first floor though, the boards are twice as wide (13-1/2") and have additional character due to being live sawn and a shrunk face.
