Lightning Protection

Look carefully and you will see three of the nine lighting rods installed on the ridge, part of the lightning protection system that also includes cable connectors, grounding electrodes (see image below), metal chimney caps, bonding to other grounded components to prevent internal side flash, and surge suppression equipment at the main 600-amp service panel.
