Radiant Heat Prep

To prepare for the installation of the hydronic radiant heat tubing, 1/2" plywood panels, pre-routed to secure the tubing in the engineered pattern, were glued and nailed down. Thirty-gauge aluminum plates applied to the bottom-side of the panels will help to transfer heat.

To reduce the transfer of footfall noise to the living spaces below, a 6mm-thick rubber mat was installed between the subfloor and the radiant panels.
